hi! My name is Phoenix and i have been given the privelige of being one of the leaders for this years UR girls retreat!! for those who do not already know me, i was introduced to bridge builders through the UR retreat in 2021 as a participant and then again in 2022. I was just 14 when i first heard of bridge builders and was given a spot on the camp, i was struggling with anxiety and low self esteem, the camp was amazing as were the leaders and other girls and i felt amazing, then we went back into lockdown and my mental health took a rapid decline. i was fortunate enough to be invited back to the camp the following year, still struggling with anxiety but also many other things 15 year old girls should not have to go through especially not by themselves. the picture above is me at camp in 2022 with one of the friends i met and still talk to today. bridge builders and the UR retreat have helped me so much and im so grateful to have this opportunity to give back, help and love the 70 young girls that come on this camp with us in the same way as i was helped.
