I’m so proud to be part of the UR Retreat again this year.
For me, this is something I feel deeply connected to—it’s not just something I do, it’s something I truly believe in.
The UR Retreat supports young women aged 13–15 who may be struggling with confidence, self-worth, bullying, or challenges in their environment. It creates a safe, supportive space where they can feel seen, valued, and empowered—sometimes for the very first time.
I’m passionate about supporting young women through what can be some of the most challenging and confusing years of their lives. There’s so much pressure around identity, confidence, and belonging, and not everyone has the support to navigate that in a healthy way. That’s why this matters so much to me.
My “why” is about helping create a space where these girls know they are enough, exactly as they are—and that there is so much more potential within them than they may currently believe.
As one of many coordinators and leaders, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a team that brings this experience to life. We create an environment with no judgement—just connection, support, and growth.
The most rewarding part for me is seeing that shift—when a young woman starts to believe in herself, even just a little bit more than when she arrived. That moment is powerful.
We are all volunteers, and this retreat relies on the support of our community.
